This year marks the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Despite the Dobbs ruling striking down Roe, and jeopardizing abortion access across the nation, Planned Parenthood Keystone will continue to commemorate its anniversary. Over 33,000 patients across central and northeast Pennsylvania depend on us to receive expert care. We’re seeing a nearly 20% increase in patients seeking abortion care. This significant responsibility weighs on us heavily because for many of our patients, we are the only form of health care they receive. Most of our patients are low-income, and nearly half are uninsured. We owe it to our patients to deliver care – in all of its forms, no matter what. Despite ongoing attacks on abortion care, misinformation about our services, and stigmatizing language about our impact, to our patients every day at Planned Parenthood Keystone is remarkable. They are the only ones that matter, period. On this day, we are commemorating Roe the only way we know how. By delivering care.
