Who We Are

The mission of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is to provide convenient and affordable access to a comprehensive range of quality reproductive health care and sexual health information through patient services, education and advocacy.

Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is made up of three areas:

Health Services

Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is one of the largest providers of comprehensive, reproductive health care services in Los Angeles County.  We conduct more than 250,000 patient visits at our 24 health centers each year. We also now have nine Wellbeing Center clinics open on LAUSD high school campuses and more on the way. Of the women, men, and young people who rely on us for care, 84% receive family planning services and 78% are living at or below the federal poverty level.

Education

Planned Parenthood Los Angeles's education and outreach programs deliver sexuality and family planning education to nearly 50,000 women, men, and teens each year. Our outreach programs include middle and high school responsible sexuality courses, parent-child communication programs, Promotoras Comunitarias (Latina community health educators), and teen education programs.

Advocacy

Planned Parenthood Los Angeles works to involve people and impact decision-makers in the fight to secure and protect access to a full range of quality reproductive health care services. We work at the local, state, and federal level to advocate for medically-accurate sexuality education, contraceptive equity, patient safety, abortion rights, and affordable access to reproductive health care for all people.
