Ways to Volunteer

Health Center Advocacy Program (HCAP)

Working in shifts with our volunteers, Public Affairs staff, and trained volunteers approach patients at our health centers and tell them about our programs, campaigns, and initiatives, and invite them to get more involved with PPMNJ. Patient involvement helps us spread the word about our services and humanizes our patients and our mission.

Healthy Neighborhood Engagements (HNE)

Public Affairs staff and volunteers go into our service area communities and participate in crowd canvassing, letting people know about our health care services and advocacy initiatives, from Get Out the Vote to STI awareness/testing work.

Local Tabling

Tabling at fairs, rallies, festivals, PRIDE events, and other community happenings. We provide information about our services, hand out swag and engage supporters that stop by!

Storytelling

We’re always happy to welcome storytellers to our storytellers’ bureau. Do you have a personal story to share about your experience with Planned Parenthood? If you received abortion care, birth control, or any other repro health services and want to share your experience, please let us know. We provide training sessions, social events with other storytellers and opportunities for speaking engagements.
