Grassroots Campus Organizing Internship



Are you passionate about an individual's right to comprehensive, medically-accurate sexual health education and the right to make personal, informed choices about pregnancy and parenthood?

Overall Job Responsibility:
The Grassroots Campus Organizer Intern will work on campus to raise student awareness about reproductive rights. You will plan ways to engage the campus community on issues surrounding reproductive health and choice including festivals, forums, event tabling, etcetera.

What is VOX?
Vox is the Latin word for "voice" and VOX®: Voices for Planned Parenthood, is a nationwide program designed to energize and mobilize the new generation of pro-choice Americans. VOX aims to educate and inspire a new generation of young adults to advocate for reproductive freedom. Staff at Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood will serve as advisors and mentors to get you moving in the right direction, and will provide you with supplies from Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Many campuses have exisitng VOX® groups. This internship is not limited to students belonging to schools with current VOX® groups. Your school may have student groups, organizations, clubs, or committees committed to reproductive health issues. Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood is willing to work with and support these exisiting groups.

Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of the current threats to reproductive health and choice.
Commitment to Planned Parenthood's mission and services.
