I’m kind of young but me and my boyfriend have been dating for a year now and I’m ready for sex. We haven’t talked about it yet. I wanted reassurance first. Ive heard that after u lose your virginity your body starts to change. Is this true. And if so will it happen to me. Im really excited about losing it to him and I won’t do it unless we are safe. I just want to know what will happen to me after sex and if people will be able to notice.
Deciding to have sex for the first time can be a big deal. It’s true that sex can change some things. It can change your relationship and it can teach you things about yourself and your partner. One thing it definitely won’t change is your body or the way you look. No one will know you’ve had sex unless you or your boyfriend tell someone.
It’s great that you’re thinking about whether or not you’re ready for sex ahead of time instead of in the heat of the moment, and that you want to make sure you’re safe. The best way to do that is to get started on a method of birth control before you have sex and make sure you use a condom every time. That way you’re protected against pregnancy and STDs.
Your nearest Planned Parenthood health center can help you figure out which birth control is right for you, and can answer any other questions about sex and your body that you might have.
