When you support Planned Parenthood, you add your voice to a movement of individuals that understand that by standing with Planned Parenthood you support the rights of everyone. There are a number of ways to volunteer your time, show your support, and connect with other advocates for reproductive health care access and rights.

Below you will find a brief summary of PPCCC's local volunteer opportunities. Please note that PPCCC covers three counties and some positions vary depending on region, while other are based on the needs of the communities we serve.

Thank you for your interest and support. We look forward to receiving your application!

Examples of Volunteer Activities:

Administration

General office volunteers share their flexibility with us in terms of skills, tasks, and schedule. Duties are mostly clerical and are performed during standard office hours in our administration building in Santa Barbara.

Health Centers

We do not have volunteer opportunities to work with patients within our health centers.

We have Patient Greeter programs outside some Health Centers, where volunteers welcome and guide patients to the building for their visit.

Community Outreach

Volunteers represent PPCCC at health fairs and community events to promote Planned Parenthood’s programs and services.

Advocacy

Volunteers help engage supporters and raise visibility for Planned Parenthood through phone banking, canvassing, and visibility events.

Fundraising and Special Events

Volunteers are needed a number of special events throughout the year. These volunteers provide support through a wide-variety of tasks. Please note that some events require that volunteers be at least 21 years of age to participate.

Birds and Bees Bash

Our biggest fundraiser of the year!

Book Sale

Our Book Sale would not be possible without the dedication of more than 75 year-round volunteers. Our year-round volunteers sort, price and pack books according to defined categories.

Other year-round opportunities include researching books online, writing about a book’s condition, or cleaning and inspecting books prior to their sale.

There are volunteer opportunities to suit everyone — some include working from home and or tasks that don’t require heavy lifting.
