The ERA Is Now Prop One & We Need Help Spreading the Word!

By the Public Affairs Team

After a long-awaited New York State Board of Elections meeting, the Equal Rights Amendment has an official name – Prop One! We now know that Prop One is what New Yorkers will see on their ballot when they vote on ensuring abortion access, LGBTQ+ rights, disability rights and more are enshrined in our state constitution in November. It is critical that voters learn about the Equal Rights Amendment or Prop One and that as many people as possible show up on election day understanding how important Prop One is for protecting our rights and reproductive freedoms in New York State. You can learn more about the Equal Rights Amendment or Prop One at our blog here.

You can help this effort by becoming a PPCWNY Volunteer Advocate. Volunteer Advocates are dedicated to reproductive freedom activism and are committed to high levels of engagement in legislation and advocacy around abortion access, LGBTQ+ rights, and more on behalf of PPCWNY. You can register for our next Volunteer Advocate Orientation over zoom on August 13th from 6pm-8pm.
