Planned Parenthood has four health centers located within Seattle’s city limits, each serving a different neighborhood with unique needs, strengths and challenges.
Success is measured at our health centers in a variety of ways, including: number of patients served, average wait time and patient satisfaction.
Often times, success means so much more than just a number on paper, because our mission calls us to help patients during some of the most stressful times in their lives.
Northgate Health Center has some of the top outcomes among our health centers this year, in terms of patient volumes and patient satisfaction – exemplifying the heart of Planned Parenthood’s work.
“Making a positive difference in peoples’ lives is why we do this,” said Aysu Rahman, Northgate Health Center Manager.
Camila Ruiz, Medical Receptionist at Northgate, said, “I love that I get to help put our patients at ease and help to normalize health needs that we have all been socialized to feel embarrassed or ashamed about.”
Aysu added that she and staff members were extremely grateful for the support of local community during a string of protests outside the clinic. (Yes, we get them, even in Seattle!) “Our supporters help us stand strong for our patients,” Aysu proudly stated.
This is proof positive that thanks to supporters like you, our staff is empowered to provide excellent care.
