Learn about MyChart

As part of our change to an improved electronic health records system, Planned Parenthood Great Rivers is excited to offer the online patient portal MyChart starting October 1, 2024.

MyChart provides you with online access to your medical record. It can help you access your health records and communicate with your providers.

Learn more below, and look out for communications from us in the coming weeks about the transition to MyChart and how to sign up.

What does the change to MyChart mean for my care?

You can still expect to receive the same high-quality care at Planned Parenthood Great Rivers. Prior to our change to an improved electronic health records system starting October 1, 2024, you will temporarily see decreased appointment availability at our health centers. You can schedule an appointment online or call us at 314-531-7526.

What actions do I need to take now?

Here are actions we encourage you to take now, before October 1, 2024:

  • Log in to your existing patient portal and download your health records. Your current patient portal will no longer be accessible after October 1, 2024. This means you will not be able to review your prior visit summaries, look at past labs, or message a clinician from your current patient portal. We recommend that you download any portal content, like visit summaries or labs, that you would like to have for your records prior to October 1. After October 1, you can request records by completing a request for access to health information. We will share information here on how to sign up for MyChart once it becomes available.
  • Fill your prescriptions through the end of 2024 if you are able to.

How can MyChart help me manage my health care?

MyChart allows you to see all your health information in one place, even if you have been seen at multiple health care organizations. It provides you with secure online access to your medical record, helps you participate in your health care, and gives you a convenient way to communicate with your providers.

From MyChart, you will be able to:

  • Quickly schedule appointments.
  • Pre-register and save time at your visit by completing necessary information in advance.
  • Review summaries of your previous appointments, including issues addressed during each visit, your vital signs, and tests or referrals that were ordered.
  • View your medications, including dosage information and instructions, and request a refill.
  • View new lab results, as well as trends over time.
  • Connect with your care team when you need us, wherever you are.
  • Pay your bills and view payment history.

We will share more information about signing up for MyChart in the coming weeks. Return to this page for updated information and look out for messages from us in your current patient portal.

Will my data be shared with law enforcement or other government authorities to investigate my lawful health care?

Illinois law generally prohibits the sharing of health information related to health care activity that is lawful in Illinois, including reproductive health care and gender-affirming care, unless a limited exception applies. This includes a prohibition on sharing health information with out-of-state law enforcement if such disclosure would interfere with a patient's rights under the Illinois Reproductive Health Act, which guarantees the right to abortion.
