Systemic failures in the U.S. healthcare system have yielded unprecedented challenges that are forcing many healthcare providers, including us, to take serious and immediate cost-saving measures and pursue long-term structural shifts that are consequential and heartbreaking. We have been forced to close four of our health centers and end deep sedation at our Manhattan facility – this means that we, at least temporarily, will not be able to offer abortion care after twenty weeks. A FY25 state budget that fell short of responding to the needs of sexual and reproductive health care providers

A subpar regulatory environment
As we stabilize and preserve dignified access to sexual and reproductive healthcare, we are demanding more from our leaders.
Since the fall of Roe, we have seen our elected officials support us in many ways–and we thank them for that. But now we need our leaders to step up even more and be the change they want to see for their constituents. If they are to declare that New York is an access state, they must ensure that an actual pro-sexual and reproductive health and abortion care budget and regulatory environment is realized.
