For the third year, Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest proudly launched Artists for Planned Parenthood. A project that provides a creative outlet for hope, rage, and strength on the issues that impact Planned Parenthood. Harnessing the power of art and activism in support of reproductive freedom allows us to connect with the communities that support us, and to amplify their voices.

This year's series focused on “Expanding the Narrative, Sharing Our Stories” – defining what Planned Parenthood means for us, our communities, and our futures. Over 100 artists applied throughout the country and 15 projects were selected – their powerful work includes poetry, a short film, digital designs, and more.

The current media landscape around reproductive health and rights is filled with misinformation, stigma, and narratives that are often not grounded in real life experiences or in our communities' needs. This year’s submissions focus on the wide range of services offered by Planned Parenthood, and help us expand the narrative around reproductive health, free from barriers and stigma.

The annual Summer Sessions event showcasing the artwork will be in August 2024, more details to come!

Artwork from this year and previous years can be found on all @pppswhealth social media platforms. Check out a snapshot below from this year below and reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions!
