Darrah DiGiorgio Johnson is transitioning out of her role as our president and CEO after 18 years of service and dedication. Darrah’s time with the organization was marked by unprecedented social and political change, including the fall of Roe v. Wade. She led the organization through challenging moments, including the 2023 destruction of our Imperial Valley Homan Center and the rise of anti-abortion legislation, with strength and thoughtfulness, never wavering from her commitment to Planned Parenthood’s mission, patients, and communities.

Darrah has dedicated her time and talents to Planned Parenthood for nearly two decades and leaves us with a strong and capable organization ready to build on her accomplishments. We remain grateful for Darrah’s visionary and compassionate leadership and wish her all the best in her next chapter.

Hear from our CEO in the video and special note below.

Serving Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest for the last 18 years has been the honor of a lifetime. I am profoundly grateful for the relationships and experiences that have shaped my professional and personal life, and the opportunity to have learned from and work alongside so many of you in service to this critical mission. Our work is far from over, and with your continued support, Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest will enter our next chapter with resilience and hope.

Over the next several months, a CEO Search Committee composed of current and former Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest Board members will work together to select our next leader.

I have every confidence that this process will be thoughtful, intentional, and eminently successful in finding a CEO worthy of leading this exceptional affiliate.
