Planned Parenthood Southeast Temporarily Closes Hattiesburg Health Center

HATTIESBURG, MS — Today, Planned Parenthood Southeast spokesperson, Jaylen Black, released the following statement regarding the health center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi:
“Planned Parenthood Southeast was recently forced to temporarily close the Hattiesburg health center due to an emergency provider shortage. We are deeply disheartened by this news for our patients, staff, and community members alike. Planned Parenthood in Hattiesburg has provided much-needed care in the area for over three decades. We will continue our community outreach through our organizing and sex education work. We will provide more information on a predicted timeline and disseminate further patient communication as soon as possible. Our commitment to our communities remains strong, and we have every intention of ensuring that we continue to provide lifesaving, high-quality health care, no matter what.”
