Why is Planned Parenthood Southeast temporarily closing the Hattiesburg health center?

The Hattiesburg health center is temporarily closed due to an emergency provider shortage. We are exploring many options to resolve this issue as soon as possible. However, due to the provider licensing requirements, the necessity for the physician to be local in Hattiesburg, and overall provider challenges in the region resulting from the damaging impacts of the overturn of Roe v. Wade, an immediate and simple solution is not currently available.

How long do you predict the temporary shutdown to last?

At the moment, there is no formal timeline for the temporary shutdown. We will update the status of the health center as soon as we have more information.
