New state-of-the-art facility is open to patients on Hazard Avenue in Enfield, Conn.

(New Haven, Conn.) – On Monday March 24, 2014, the Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE) health center in Enfield officially opened its doors for patients at its new location. The center, at 111 Hazard Avenue, Enfield, Conn. 06082, is located less than half a mile away from its previous location.

The first PPSNE health center opened in Enfield in 1968, and Planned Parenthood is proud of the decades of service provided to members of the community.

"PPSNE has been committed to the Enfield community for more than 45 years. Our new location enables us to serve more patients and continue to provide confidential, nonjudgmental care to the women, men and young people in the community," said Kafi Rouse, Director of Public Relations and Marketing with Planned Parenthood of Southern New England. "Our new facility would not have been possible without the help of all our friends, advocates and supporters. We are excited to remain in the community well into the future."

PPSNE will continue to extend the same high quality, affordable reproductive health care it provides to all of its patients in this new location. The new location offers convenient, free parking, a state-of-the-art facility and walk-in and same day appointments. More than 4,000 patients visit annually at the Enfield center and the new health center location will be able to serve even more patients in the community.

Planned Parenthood is a trusted, local resource for convenient and confidential services for women, men and young people, including STD/STI testing, HIV testing and counseling, all FDA approved birth control methods, pregnancy testing and counseling, emergency contraception and more. PPSNE has a sliding fee scale based on one’s income and participates in many insurance plans.

An official ribbon cutting is scheduled during a Grand Opening celebration on April 30, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. Call (203) 865-5158 for more information on the event.
