New state-of-the-art facility is now open on Sixth Street in Stamford, Conn.

(New Haven, Conn.) — On Tuesday, December 22, 2015, the Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE) health center in Stamford officially opened its doors for patients at a new location. The center, at 35 Sixth Street, Stamford, Conn. 06905, is located two miles away from the previous location.

 

Planned Parenthood is proud of the decades of service provided to the greater Stamford and surrounding areas.

 

“PPSNE has been dedicated to Stamford women and their families for many years. Our new location allows us to provide high quality, expert health care services to even more patients,” said Judy Tabar President & CEO of Planned Parenthood of Southern New England. “Our new health center would not have been possible without the help of our generous supporters. We are excited to grow in Stamford and serve the community well into the future.”

 

PPSNE will continue to extend the same high quality, affordable reproductive health care it provides to all of its patients in this new location. The Stamford Health Center offers convenient, free parking, a state-of-the-art facility and walk-in, online and same day appointments. PPSNE is a resource for everyone, including the more than 4,100 patients who annually visit the Stamford Health Center. Additionally, PPSNE has bilingual staff and provides many Spanish-language resources.

 

Planned Parenthood is a trusted, local resource for convenient and confidential services for women, men and young people, including STD/STI testing, HIV testing and counseling, all FDA approved birth control methods, pregnancy testing and counseling, emergency contraception and more. We offer medical interpretation services for non-English speaking patients; have a sliding fee scale based on one’s income and participate in many insurance plans.

 

The Stamford Health Center is open Monday, 11 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Tuesday 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.,           Wednesday 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Thursday 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. For more information or to make an appointment, visit ppsne.org or call 1 (800) 230-PLAN (7526).
