PPSNE is "Keeping Patients Healthy from Head to Toe."

(New Haven, Conn.) — On Monday, February 3, 2014, Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE) began offering new health care services at the Meriden, New London and Waterbury health centers in Connecticut. We now treat common illnesses such as colds, the flu, ear infections, sinus infections, seasonal allergies and strep throat.

"We are growing and it is truly exciting. Offering new health care services demonstrates our commitment to providing high-quality care to all of the women, men and young people in our communities. Our patients can see the same medical providers they have come to know and trust for their reproductive health care appointments," said Judy Tabar President & CEO of Planned Parenthood of Southern New England. "From bronchitis to breast exams, Planned Parenthood is committed to keeping our patients healthy from head to toe."

Throughout February, the Meriden, New London and Waterbury Health Centers will be diagnosing and treating a variety of common- illnesses, such as: the common cold, acute bronchitis, ear infections, strep throat, influenza and sinus infections. Beginning in the spring, PPSNE will add additional services which include the treatment of common skin conditions like acne, fungal infections, insect bites and poison ivy. These three centers will also provide work and school physical exams, treatment of gastrointestinal conditions such as constipation, reflux and hemorrhoids, and musculoskeletal complaints, such as back pain and carpal tunnel.

Planned Parenthood is a trusted, local resource for convenient and confidential services for women, men and young people.
