On the first day of spring, Planned Parenthood of Southern New England brings to Providence R.I. Whose Body is it Anyway? featuring award-winning improvisational comedy group Sea Tea Improv at the Roger Williams Park Casino.

(Providence, R.I.) – On Thursday, March 20, 2014, Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE) will present Whose Body is it Anyway? from 6:30 – 8:30 PM at the Roger Williams Park Casino in Providence, R.I. This new fundraiser, featuring Sea Tea Improv, is a rollicking evening of improv comedy, delicious hors d’oeuvres and cocktails which will help support the mission of PPSNE.

Award-winning comedy troupe Sea Tea Improv from Hartford, Conn. will take the stage for what is sure to be an unforgettably fun evening full of once-in-a-lifetime performances. No two shows are ever alike because audience participation drives each performance!

Sea Tea Improv was professionally trained by ImprovBoston, the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York and the Hartford Stage Company. They regularly delight audiences throughout New England. Fans of the popular television series "Whose Line is it Anyway" will surely feel at home and be entertained by Sea Tea Improv’s witty interpretations of random audience suggestions. The audience will become part of the show during this fun and interactive night.

"Spending a night laughing out loud and supporting the important work of PPSNE is a great way to kick off spring," said Judy Tabar President & CEO of Planned Parenthood. "Whose Body is it Anyway? will provide Planned Parenthood supporters, friends and advocates a night of fun, purpose and giving – one they will truly remember."

All proceeds from Whose Body is it Anyway? go directly to care for PPSNE patients who receive high quality health care, regardless of their ability to pay. Annually, PPSNE serves over 70,000 women, men and young people, providing a range of critical, life-saving health care services, including breast cancer screenings, Pap tests, birth control, and STD/STI testing and treatment.

Whose Body is it Anyway? will feature an evening filled with cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, comedy and camaraderie while celebrating the important work of Planned Parenthood of Southern New England.
