How Do I Make An Appointment to Start Hormones?

Contact us at 804-355-4358 to schedule an appointment for an initial hormone therapy visit.

You can not schedule an initial appointment online. At this appointment, we will review your medical history, review an informed consent form, and draw lab tests. If you’re seeking hormones, depending on your medical history, we will either prescribe the hormones to you at your first visit or wait to prescribe them until we get your lab results back. Please note that if you started hormones with someone else and are transferring your care to us, you are still considered a new patient to VLPP.  We will still need to review your medical history, including hormones, review our informed consent forms,  and get labs.

What is informed consent?

Informed Consent is a model of care in which patients are able to access hormones during a visit with their provider, where they'll discuss the risks and benefits of care. No visit with a mental health professional is required.
