Student Ambassadors

They are students like you, who are interested in sexual and reproductive health.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution, with an understanding of sexual and reproductive health. 

Role:

  1. Connect community members to sexual and reproductive health, education and training, and advocacy services, while serving as a resource person on campus
  2. Assists with expanding education and training on various sexual and reproductive health topics to community-based or youth service organizations, schools and other local organizations and agencies in target communities.
  3. Assist with planning, implementing and evaluating community outreach activities prioritizing those communities facing health disparities.

  4. With guidance creates materials to be used in the community. (Educational boards, games, newsletters etc…)
  5. Stays current with campus activities and events and works with staff to secure a presence at larger events.
  6. Observes and assists with educational presentation on a variety of topics when possible.
  7. Co-coordinates with staff to complete other on-campus tasks as needed (e.g. seeking approval and hanging flyers around campus).
  8. Seeks out and maintains relationships with student organizations.

Compensation:

$300/monthly stipend for approximately 30 hours of work
